Things that are kept the same
This time no Netflix equivalent just a graphic novel.

- Overhearing the conversation, Logan volunteer his services.
- He comes to his first BC meeting and ends up getting a trial job with Mary Anne. At the Rodowskys he does a decent job, but then wen Mary Anne rings him he says he can't join club. He does ask her to upcoming school dance.
- While at sitting job with Charlotte, Stacey gets the idea to surprise Mary Anne with birthday cake at a party.
- Mary Anne goes shopping for outfit for dance and buys a skirt with famous cities.
- At the dance Mary Anne is having a good time with Logan until her shoe flies off and hits teacher. She is so embarrassed she sits in the stands for the rest of the evening.
- Logan continues to show interest in her and they end up talking on the phone a lot and going on date.
- At Stacey's back to school party, Mary Anne is surprised everyone is there before her but soon has a good time with Logan. But then the surprise cake comes out and everyone starts singing happy birthday. Mary Anne hating to be centre of attention runs off.
- She is upset nobody rings to check on her, but in the meantime she gets courage to ask her dad for a cat and he agrees.
- She rings Logan and talk they both thought each other were mad. They talk things out and he helps her pick out cat, which she names Tigger.
- She makes up with the rest of her friends and they have a small party just them.
- They come up with idea that Logan can be an associate member of the club, so he does not have to attend meetings but will be able to take up extra jobs when the others can't.
Things from other books
- [Graphix
only] Richard Spier and Sharon Porter have not been dating as much (Original Book 9)
- [Graphix only] Jessi joins the BSC (Original Book 14)
- [Graphix only] Jessi talks about being the only person in er family being able to calm her brother Squirt down when he had colic. (Original Book Super Special 11)
Things that are changed
- More diversity in the book means the Perkins and Logan Bruno are now people of colour.
- There are some small changes to dialogue throughout the book, like when the girls discuss Cam Geary at the BSC meeting. Also there are some additional conversations, such as Mary Anne making some jokes when babysitting with Logan and when they are at party she talks about why she likes cats.
- Situations are generally the same but have small changes, usually due to being more visual medium. We see the Perkins playing outside when Dawn goes to Mary Anne's house. When Mary Anne, Claudia and Stacey walk to school together, Mary Anne turns to where Kristy would be, momentarily forgetting she's not there. When Mary Anne and Kristy want to rush to emergency meeting they slow down when the decorum essay teacher from "Kristy's Great Idea" is watching them. Also when Mary Anne's shoe hits teacher she runs to bathroom first before going to sit on the bleachers.
- There are some completely new scenes, Mary Anne mentions to her Dad, she noticed he hasn't been seeing Sharon as much. This is probably added due to them skipping over book #9 The Ghost at Dawn's House, where we find out Sharon has being seeing other people like the "Trip-man".
- The biggest addition is Jessi first appears here rather than book #14.
- Due to Mallory being in the club (and in a different grade) she sneaks out of class to join the BSC during their emergency meeting at lunch. There she mentions new pupil in er class, Jessi that may be able to help. Logan then volunteers his services like in the original book.
- Both Logan and Jessi attend the next BSC meeting, there is no awkwardness with Logan being the only boy there. (no bra talk at all in the Graphix) The club share funny babysitting stories.
- After Logan's trial the BSC agree he can be member if he wants (rather than being unsure about inviting boy into club) but Logan turns them down at first. He later explains to Mary Anne, he forgot that he babysitting commitments for his siblings during 2 of the meeting times and he was embarrassed to say in case it looks like he volunteered at first as a ploy to get to know her. In the book he just turned them down because he felt awkward being the only boy there.
- Jessi has her trial job with Stacey and Charlotte, which mostly goes the same with them deciding to get Mary Anne a surprise birthday cake. An addition is after the job, Jessi talks about feeling bad she had such an easy trial, and about her brother Squirt's colic. (Funnily Jessi's first trial run in the original books was with the Rodowskys, though we didn't get to see her on it, she did do well enough to join club obviously)
- Two chapters from the book are left out - Claudia babysitting the Perkins and Dawn staying over at Kristy's house.
- There is a new chapter in the Graphix where Mallory goes to visit Jessi at the hotel they are staying at. In the original books Jessi moves into Stacey's old house when the McGill's move away, so here the Ramsey's are still house hunting. Jessi and Mallory have good talk, while reminiscence of their first meeting and they bond over books, it is a new conversation.
- At the party before Mary Anne runs off Logan asks if she would be his girlfriend.
- When the BSC come around to Mary Anne's to have a smaller party, Jessi and Logan are also come. There they officially make Jessi a junior member and tell Logan he doesn't have to attend meetings because of his other commitments but can be an associate member.
Final Thoughts
This may be my favourite Graphix adaption, perhaps because while it does stick closely to original book there are some new things to make it fresher. I love the art here, so expressive, and feel that combined with some extra conversations make Mary Anne and Logan a super cute couple. In the original books, I was generally indifferent to their relationship, but here they are adorable and I totally ship them. Also bringing in Jessi a little earlier is nice, and we actually see her join the club, in Hello Mallory it ends with just Mal saying she's sure Jessi's trial will go well and she will join.
